There's no understating how huge of a pickup this is. I was worried when we missed out on Shy Tuttle (never thought much of Tim Settle) but Wilkins is easily as good as Tuttle and probably better. What a great job by the coaching staff to steal an awesome recruit and of equal importance, a great kid.

This just goes to show you that recruiting is SOOO unpredictable! Ohio State had the last visit from this kid on Dec 12th...We had a visit from him on Nov 21st...He had offers from Alabama, Auburn, and Florida and didnt take a single visit...This kid is going to be special!

- has a permanent Urban Legend label attached to it indicating it loses games it shouldn't - even when it doesn't and hasn't;
- will cause his rating on ESPN to drop by at least 2 stars;
- plays in a conference that was a pity-guest in this year's Football Championship series;
- has the "Most Exciting 25 seconds in College Football", which in terms of Championships means about as much as your wife/significant other telling you the same;
- sits dead in the cross-hairs of many liberal, anti-establishment, anti-religion political and media types who churn at the very idea of a Coach with a professed and active faith;
- is losing everyone - I mean everyone - off of Mike Patrick's favorite defense;
- has a defense whose "get-back" coach is more famous than its D-coordinator;
- has lost virtually every game it has played against Top 10 teams in the last 3 years (shhhhh....but hasn't lost to anyone ranked outside the Top 10);
- still gets no love from Dr. B...
My God. The boy's a veritable masochist.

Absolutely huge!!! I wasn't real confident we'd get this guy but must say I'm as happy about getting him as any other committment for this cycle. I would call Christian icing on the cake but I think we get at least one more if not two just as highly thought of as him. How many layers of icing can you get on a cake?!

class is special, and still 3(?) weeks till NSD! Great time to be a CU Tiger....not that there's a bad time to be one. Between this huge pick up along with Pegano, Huggins, Alexander, Kearse, etc, we may not see as dramatic of a decline on D as I once thought there might be. Give CBV the tools, and as we witnessed this year, he certainly knows how to coach them up to being the best there is in CFB. As if August wasn't far enough away already, now I'm even more anxious to see what we're capable of over the next 2-5 years! Go Tigers!

Settle committed to VT at one of the major AA games. We backed off because of character/grades issues. Also believe that he isn't the same caliber of player as Wilkins or even Shy Tuttle.

Watched Wilkins play in the Under Armour game and he really balled. My prayers were answered getting this Elite DT. He is not only an exceptional athlete but a good young student that will be a man after his time at Clemson. WE TOO DEEP!
