This may not be the last we hear

Of this “robbery” in Durham. NO game should be decided by the Zebras and that is what we saw tonight. IF the refs were not looking closely for something in the last seven seconds this would NEVER have happened. I’ll be very surprised if Coach doesn’t complain to the right people about the last seconds of this game.

It's a loss, CBB needs to get the boys ready to win close games.

We played well enough to win in Cameron today

which hasn't been the case since 1995. A lot of positives therein, but the game was stolen. I'm not that kind of fan, but that's what happened.

I think in the middle of that on of our Tigers got completely bowled over during a missed shot for Duke.

We will hear about it the next time we play in Durham and the next and the next. It will be the same poor officiating then as it has been for the last 30 years.

Why do you say it's poor when it's achieving the desired goal of the ACC?
NC schools, UNCheat and Duke in particular, must be protected- no matter how much blatant help they need.

Precisely. Every other visiting team has to deal with the same in a close game. Which is why you prepare for that when you go into that environment. Keep your poise (Brownell did not), & put the ball in the best players’ hand. That’s all.

The Gamecocks got the same treatment when Frank McGuire was their coach. Ranked number one almost every year till they played UnCheat ,and I don't ever remember USuck ever winning a game in North Carolina.

As much as we like to make fun of them at least they had the good sense to leave the ACC. Should have left when the ACC gave us an extra year of probation in football in the 80's. Clemson is a glutton for punishment when it comes to the ACC.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well, McGuire's best team went 14-0 through the ACC regular season,

so they did go 4-0 through Tobacco Road that year, but then John Roche sprained his ankle and could barely play in the tourney, they lost, and that was when only the conference champ made the big dance! The chickens could have definitely won it all that year, without Roche's injury.
