I wouldn’t say that but I will say some Braves fans may still love Freddie but I can assure he doesn’t love you 😂

But isn't he a traitor for leaving the Braves?

You know, like what is said here about football guys that transfer out?
I happen to like Freddie. I was sorry to see him leave Atlanta, but that's business. Plus, I can't stand the Yankees.

Freddie was loved in Atlanta; his decision to go to LA was puzzling

He signed with the Dodgers on a 6 year, $162M contract which is $27M per year. He turned down a 5 year, $140M contract with Atlanta, which is $28M per year. There was way more to this than the money.
Matt Olson has been solid as his replacement. He had an average year this year, but an incredible season last year.

With Freddie Freeman leaving and then they refuse to work out a contract to keep Dansby Swanson I feel had a big affect on team and clubhouse chemistry.
At some point this winter or next year the Braves are going to end up spending more money to get a quality SS who has Dansby’s defensive skills, than if they had kept him. True he was a streak hitter but he seem to come through in big games. And always made awesome plays.
With Swanson and Freeman I believe there were problems with guys in $2000 suits. Coc and John S. were a great combo who knew how to find and develop talent . One of the best trades in the late 80’s was to get John Smoltz.
I doubt we will ever see a pitching Staff with the talent of Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz Avery and Pete Smith. Then you add Chipper, Javy Lopez, mark Lemeke, Jeff B. at SS and Crime Dog Griff and several talented outfielders and quality bench players. The reason they only won 1 WS is the bullpen.
Back to the heart of the post it’s sad to see Freeman leave. He had a positive affect on and off the field.
A healthy Braves team could win it all next year
