We should pull for DJU for selfish reasons. Hear me out.

If DJU balls out, then Streeter was likely the issue. If that’s the case, we have likely upgraded and that’s a piece of evidence for it.
Honestly, I’m just bored and stupid excited about having college football again.

I think it was both. A QB who had no touch and a coordinator who had no clue.

Hoping they fail is selfish and dumb.

Regardless of whether he “balls out” or not, streeter was a MAJOR issue plaguing the offense which is why Dabo rightfully gave him the boot, even though he should’ve never been promoted to that position to begin with.

He was not the right choice for OC but that has little to do with DJ getting the yips.

Remember when TLaw Threw four Interceptions the first game after winning the National Championship? Yeah, Streeter should never have been promoted to OC after something like that!

I am pulling for DJ. Seems like a great kid and the team loved him.

I would pull for him anyway. I want to see him do well. That said, I am with you on the Streeter angle. A lot of people are probably thinking something similar.

I hope DJ fails, Cade ends up at the Heisman ceremony, and Streeter goes on to be successful.
Streeter is a Clemson man and loves the something in those hills more than most of us. I can’t believe some of y’all pulling for a no talent QB that threw us under the bus over a former QB that has a trophy named after him.

I am watching the game and am amazed that San Jose State already has a loss, and a stadium with only three sides.

Your whole premise is false as you can’t take a multi-variable problem and assign the cause to one variable and have any confidence you made the correct choice.

I just hope he keeps playing for them the same way he did for us. He didn't just criticize the OC, he blamed everyone. And Dabo covered for him and protected his fragile ego at every turn.

Streeter was not DJs issue.

Kind of tired of hearing that . While it was time to make a move to different offense - Streeter did not miss open receivers. Streeter did not process defenses slowly. Streeter did not make slow decisions. Streeter did not cause our receivers to be injured. (Not saying DJ did - just it was not Streeter fault either.) Etc etc.
While I am excited about the change - players play.

I hear you but, respectfully, would offer an alternative perspective. Streeter could’ve actually caused all of those issues aside from the last point about injuries. If an OC puts too much of a cognitive burden on a QB it can cause: - the QB to be thinking instead of playing free and miss open WRs - thinking through overly complex reads and process slowly - make decisions slowly because the QB is overwhelmed.
Listen to the players talk about how freeing and simple GRs offense is… that allows you to play fast, process fast, and just make the plays.
Just another perspective.

All valid - and maybe correct. But it sure did not appear that our offense was complex. But, maybe so.

Based on comments from players, it sounds like there was a lot of volume. Specific plays for specific packages tailored from game to game. I don’t think that any specific play was overly complicated but the cognitive burden associated with the volume of plays is my suspicion.
In any case, I am really just excited to see this years offense tomorrow. Idle hands in the meantime…

Solid response but he did not seem to struggle at ND his freshman year in the same offense. Seems the pressure of being QB1 was too much or perhaps his parents divorce had an impact.
