We really need Feaster to become that break-away threat we

haven't had since Andre Ellington. With respect to, and much appreciation for Roderick McDowell, DJ Howard, Zac Brooks, CJ Davidson, Wayne Gallman, and Deshaun Watson, we haven't had a home-run threat at RB since 2012. Its time, and it would really help whoever is under center next year if the Defense has to respect that element of our Offense.

Agreed. Thought Feaster would play more in 2016

I'm assuming that means he really wasn't ready. Hope that doesn't mean he has trouble picking up the offense, etc. I was hoping to see him get 5-10 carries a game this past year - at least in the second half of the season.

doing this year and obviously the plan didn't need to involve TF. Thats fine, we won it all and didnt need him. But next year we are going to need him badly. So i'm looking hard at everything that happens in the Spring

TF was a ball carrier at Spartanburg high school...

He was never really asked to block.
The running back is a crucial part of any good pass protection scheme. Various blitz pickups often fall on the shoulders of the RB who is often the last line of defense to protect the quarterback in passing plays.
This is an area where TF still needs to improve.

played more. There was just so much on the line in every game. I think they got him in there where they could; 12 carries vs SCST, 4 at BC, 9 vs Cuse, 3 at Wake, 6 vs SC, and 3 vs OSU. Those were all games we had in hand at some point in the 3rd or 4th quarter. All of our other games were really close with the exception of GT so I'm sure the coaches were just afraid of putting him out there and having a big mistake (probably in pass protection) cost us a game.

We need to employ more 2-back sets / I-form, set the edge better & find which TE on the roster isn't afraid to block through the whistle / crush a linebacker. Wayne had every tool imaginable at his disposal but 80% of the time, either the hole wasn't there or the playcall was halfback dive left or right. We definitely need a more substantial run game next season, especially with a new QB at the helm.

Without Deshaun Watson in many of those games my brother, we may have lost. No one is ever going to celebrate getting 50-80 yards of rushing per game from our feature back. And with a new quarterback under center, we will definitely need more balance, that's all I'm saying.
If you take DW4's legs out of the equation, look at some of the runs stats. Wayne had 59 against VTech, 85 in a shutout against OSU, 46 against Alabama, 36 against Pitt, etc. We need to do better in our run game next year. Period.

^^ agreed. It would be foolish to not tweak the offense slightly to FIT the current talent we have. Don't expect Cooper/Kelly/Johnson/Israel/Brice to be exactly Watson, but you CAN expect them to bring the same level of intensity. Kinda like it was foolish of Chad Morris to try and make Stoudt execute the same gameplan that was made for Watson.
As far as the blocking TE, Garrett Williams has more than proven hes a capable and worthy TE as far as blocking. I just wonder if he'll ever be a Pass Catching TE. I don't think hes caught more than 3 passes, or even been targeted for more than 3, since he's been at Clemson.
Feaster will come into his own. He's already shown that he has the burst. He just need to work on his vision and pass blocking. Fuller and Choice are solid, but I think Fuller is getting the nod first. If we get Etienne Thursday, we may see this thing open up a little bit more. Kid is action packed and ready to go.

on. From there, it's just getting him enough touches. He already has the potential to go all the way every time he touches the ball, and is more capable of breaking off long runs than anybody we've got. He's not gonna break a lot of tackles at the line though; he's gonna need a hole or a crease. He's the kind of back that may get stuffed at the line 3 times in a row, then break off a 40-yarder, so he's gonna have to get a lot of attempts.
