They’ll probably need that many after so many underclassmen leave for the pros and the portal. We simply don’t have enough room on our roster for 25+ players.

It is evident now that it is going to take a different approach.
If losing 7 very high level recruits to other programs, including a Ga Tech flip for maybe what was our best recruit, does not provide the "writing is on the wall" moment, then nothing will.
Clemson will need to pick up some pieces, the portal WILL be used...right ??

Everyone knows Clemson has had the highest retention rate and fewest decommitments of any major program. Just because money has completely changed one of those things doesn't mean it will change the other. Surely.

14 will graduate. But that's okay, and that sums up the problem. Dabo is still clinging to the hope that college football is still in some way, college football, and not merely a professional minor league.
"College football" (and it's fans) has some very real, clear choices to make. Will it be honesty, integrity, and transparency, all in favor of true college athletics, OR will it be colleges sponsoring professional teams in an all-out money grab.

'forever young' with its lineup because of such low portal use and heavier reliance on HS recruits and in-house development and retention. Yet annually pretty much every major competitor adds more freshmen than we do. Weird.

Georgia is going to have a lot of players leave early for the pros and also transfer out.
Georgia and other programs are forcing guys to transfer out. Dabo will never do that.
I'm not saying whether one side is right or wrong, but Dabo will never operate that way. We should never expect 30+ player classes. We simply won't have that much turnover unless it comes from players graduating and/or going pro.
