Just kiddin'! Sirriusly, we made really good adjustments and kept going for the kill after a less than outstanding 1st half, against a tough, well coached team. In the end we showed toughness and the ability to adapt and respond with total confidence. Stanford isn't UGA or Bama, but were just what we needed to grow a little.
Not having Woods to set the edge has hurt us, but Hoffler stepped up and did so in the second half. Both he and Sammy Brown are getting OJT. Both have very high motors but are learning to read their keys. This experience is helping, Both are explosive.
Green getting alot of time at DT with Capehart able to go but not 100% is also growing. We need Burley to begin to do the same after over a year injured and unable to participate in football activities.
Patt Henry at TE is already our best blocker there and had 2 nice catches including a TD.
The much criticized Cole Turner is now making plays.
OL, though a little dinged up, continues to play well.
Cade honestly had an off game, and still threw 4 TD's and ran for 1.
The last 3 years that would have been a close game, but we made adjustments and put them away. That alone shows this team has made considerable progress and has a ceiling they still haven't reached.
The one thing I like about our team is it's a team effort every week. We don't have just one or two players that's making all the plays. So when a player has to step away from the game for whatever reason another player steps into the void and the team has not missed a beat. Go tigers
