The Judge is just making a point of what the young generation knows about Pearl Harbor---Not a darn thing! It wasn't on THE VOICE or America's Got Talent and certainly not part of the WOKE agenda.

I always believed there is a time and place for everything. This is one of my favorite movie clips. But JK as usual - wrong time and place.

Such a day could happen again but our populace is oblivious to the ever present danger.

and the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, the Arizona Memorial, Ford Island and the Aviation Museum (which still has bullet holes in the hanger windows from the day of the attack), and the battleship Missouri Memorial (the ship on which the formal Japanese surrender would eventually take place). Still very moving eighty-one years later.

Was fortunate to see those sights as well in 2014. Best part of the trip to the island for me.

which was the location of the Elvis Presley concert that took place in March of 1961 in order to rise the money needed to complete construction on the Arizona Memorial. Opening acts included Scotty Moore, D.J. Fontana, The Jordanaires and, believe it or not, Minnie Pearl.

I highly recommend this book. Quick easy read about how pivotal 1942 and how close the U.S. came to losing the war in the Pacific.

Thanks for the gift idea - just ordered it for my buddy for Christmas. His Dad served on the sub USS Becuna in the Pacific Theater. He would have gone down on the USS Bullhead, except he injured his hand badly on a training dive and didn't sail on that last war patrol. She was the last US warship sunk in WWII.

was my oldest sisters birthday, she was born one year to the day after Pearl Harbor. She died unexpectedly at the age of 66. She would have been 80 today. Still miss her everyday.
December 7, 1941 WILL always live in infamy. And, I'm sure it is petty on my part, but anytime I see pictures of Japanese tourists smiling and snapping pictures aboard the Arizona Memorial, it just p1sses me off, even still today.

I think that's the numbers I saw this morning on a post by the Greatest Generation Foundation. So sad to see that generation slipping away so quickly. We have so much we could learn from them, particularly if schools would tell their stories.

who were in the Pacific theater. They ran into each other by chance on an island which was incredible in itself - my mother still has a photo of them together over there. They died one day apart about 10 years ago and their hometown newspaper ran a story about them.

Been to Pearl 4 times, a must for all Americans. At Pearl, I purchased an American Flag that flew over the USS Arizona on 09/11/2008...I proudly display her in my office waiting room. God Bless the souls of those brave men.
