Yeah, I know several of these Yankee and Chicago folks who have moved to Charleston. Turns out they're really just a conservative when it comes to where they came from and not anywhere close to the level of conservative down here.
They come down here using an array of drugs, they're atheist, they're pro choice, they want more regulation, and they'd crawl up in a ball if their wife yelled at them, yet because they voted Trump, the transgender stuff confuses them, and their granddaddy passed them down his .22 years ago, they think they're hardline conservatives.

Greenville seems to be next in line, as Chaw-stun has gotten too expensive. Mt. Pleasant has been fully lost to the Yankees. They've also encroached on IOP and Sullivans Islands, and priced all the local Chaw-stun people out of the area. Hence Greenville's sudden appeal. Give them a decade or so, they'll be just as expensive as Yankee money flows in.
But then again, another famous movie line comes to mind....

My wife who was born and raised in SC is already semi hysterical over the growth in Greenville. We’ve been here over 30 years.
I personally wish it would slow down, but it won’t.
I do know $360K won’t buy much of anything in Greenville.
I can’t take my wife too seriously as her own mother, rest her soul and yes she had one, was a godless Yankee from NY.
While the Republican Party leadership of Greenville County is borderline crazy, I think folks are definitely more liberal here as a whole and BJU is much less a force than in years past.
Perhaps new blood isn’t all bad.
