Watson = Shaw

Before anyone, especially Gamecock nation cast judgement on the decision to play Watson, let me remind everyone that Connor Shaw played a game when it the staff had knowledge of a fracture in his shoulder. This was his junior year. Not to mention bringing a Connor Shaw off the bench against Missouri last year despite having a sprained knee. He could have definitely made his knee worse then.

IMO Both of them are Ballers and play through the pain for the team. I didn't like Shaw but I respected his will to win and to play through the pain.

his Fr year he small and almost killed when he ran. And not nearly as good his Fr and So years. DW is the "Real Deal"!

I am a Clemson grad, and a Tiger through and through, but Conner Shaw was a Warrior, and he could come play on my team anytime. He made up for any possible lack of ability with a heart the size of a train. He literally willed his team to win in several games throughout his career. Loving your own team doesn't mean you have to disrespect talent on another team when you see it. Deshaun is off to a helluva start. I hope he can stay healthy and keeps it up next year for our sakes, because us and the Lamecocks have no experience whatsoever at QB coming back besides him. Hopefully one or both of our incoming Frosh are studs, because if this season taught us anything, it is that we better have a good backup ready to play.
