The "head" of the officials that is commenting from the booth, just said that unsportsmanlike conduct ALWAYS results in a first down for the offense. Yet later in the game when Hot Rod was "short" on the 4th down and then got hit out of bounds the "head" of officials said the opposite. Was the entire booth drunk?

That was b/c it happened after the play was over...thus a turnover on downs. So he was basically saying OSU had the ball 1st then the penalty occurred.

I still call b.s. on that play...and about 7 others though

Beasley's was a foul on the defense, while the OSU hit was technically on the offense since the ball was turned over and the play was dead once Hot Rod stepped out of bounds.

I thought the play that Beasley got flagged on was also over. So why was that 15 yards and automatic 1st down?
