Wahoo dropped son off at Clemson last weekend. Need advice.

Aug 20, 2013, 10:27 AM

I pulled up in front of Johnstone to unload and this kind looking man in an orange shirt stuck his hand in my window, shook my hand and said "I'm Jim Barker, president of the university. We're glad to have you here and we'll get you unloaded in just a minute." What a nice guy. Sorry to see that he is retiring. All in all, I was very impressed although I must say Johnstone reminds me of penitentiary complex except with cable and wi-fi. Could use a little paint but the boys didn't seem to care too much.

I need advice. I'm coming down for the Clemson-FSU game. Got my rooms and everything. If I'm coming to Tiger town I might as well be there for the biggest game of the year. I'm looking to buy my tickets on stub hub but I don't know anything about the stadium. I know I'm likely to be in the upper deck but are there sections or areas I should avoid.

We're looking forward to the Tigers coming to Charlottesville. Noboday expects the Hoos to do much but I'm not so sure about that We'll see after the BYU and Oregon games if we've got anything or not. Y'all come and we'll treat you well right up until the kickoff.

There are very few bad sections in the stadium. For the most

part, even if you wind up sitting around a few FSU fans, it is usually not a big deal. Generally the visiting fans are well behaved in my experience. The corners just above the end zones can be a little hard to see the action at the opposite end zone but otherwise very few bad site lines.

Johnstone will be gone in a few years or so.***

Wants to be an engineer and liked Clemson's program best.

Aug 20, 2013, 12:31 PM

He got in to UGA, USC, VA Tech and UVA but had the best gut feeling from tour of engineering school at CU. Really likes co-ops. Made me cry that he didn't go to UVA but I have a daughter there so it wasn't a shut out.
