will give him a fair shot. Too many times on Tnet he received multiple criticisms after a loss for mistakes that he made. Fortunately he will not have this problem in Philly, say if he were to fumble on the goal line vs the Giants with the playoffs on the line, I imagine Eagles fans will be far more supportive than Tnet.

I have never been to Philadelphia, but they call it The City of Brotherly Love. I would imagine they would be more understanding about fumbles near the EZ.

Philly used too be a very good place...my Grandparents owned a home
in German town and in the 50's it was much different..4th of July
parades that came down their street was exciting.I haven't been back
since 1958...grand parents home is in a neighborhood now that would
make them turn over in their graves.

I grew up in that area, no stranger to hearing gun fire in Camden, or getting my car broken into in Philly over change for the bridge, back when you only needed change for the bridge.

Me too...I used to travel to Maine on business alot and flew through Philly. They were very rude and forget wearing another teams jersey in their stadium.

Why would he stay when Clemson fans hate him? Mafah seems to get a pass for his blunder in the 2022 South Carolina game. Shipley gets no such grace for any mistake, even though he was the heart and soul of the team the past 3 years.

Yep, they'll toast him if he isn't perfect. And I don't mean a drink toast . But you have to understand, they have a lot of pressure driving home from work on the Schuylkill everyday. pretty much a major accident and fire every workday

Were you one of the ones saying Shipley would not get drafted? Seriously the hate for this kid is dumb. Kid was one of the only bright spots on Clemsons offense during his time on campus. He and Mafah pretty much the only bright spots for 2 years.

agree, somebody's else's fumble could have lost us in those 3 overtime games. But if it was not the turf monster, or dropping an easy catch, it was the 3 fumbles inside the 5. There is no denying his talent and passion for the game, it was just frustrating at times.

Cost us in the Pitt game bumbling a wide open pass that I believe change the momentum in that game.
You want 3 yards give it to Mafah. Never understood how he was 2nd behind Ship. Mafah would be further along had he had more carries.

I grew up in the Philadelphia area (then went to Clemson). Clemson fans and Philadelphia sports fans are alike in that they are fanatical about their teams. Philadelphia has some of the most passionate fans anywhere in the world. Are they a bunch of A holes...no. Well, maybe to fans of opposing teams. Very much the opposite of Clemson fans in that regard. At the end of the day, Brian Dawkins is one of the most beloved athletes in Philadelphia history. Shipley has an outstanding opportunity to play for a great team in a great sports town. If Shipley simply gives 100% effort, the fans will support him no matter what.

He has been well received and will be utilized in varied situations this coming season with success. The Eagles rejuvenated coaching staff will work to his advantage and the Eagles will used him very appropriately in their scheming to keep teams on edge! Look for great things from him in his rookie season!
