I don’t think DJ was a mis-eval. He has the talent. We saw him use the talent. I think he is dealing with a mental block from pressure. His freshman year he didn’t have to he pressure on him. But coming in as a starter and being a candidate for all these awards to start the season, I think that’s what got him. Couldn’t handle the pressure. He had roughly 100 days to get it figured out. If not it will be next man up.

I think he has the tools. He has a cannon for an arm and shows flashes of greatness.
I think you're right and he needs to improve on the mental aspects of the game. Maybe what was going on with his family had something to do with it last year, who knows.
I hope he puts it together this year, and if not I hope our fans can refrain from personal attacks.

Yea I didn’t bring that up but he was also dealing with family stuff. I think we were so spoiled as tiger fans. Deshaun and Trevor were so cool under pressure. They thrived on it. We projected that for our next quarterback and it didn’t happen. Tajh really took off his redshirt sophomore year. Hopefully year 3 DJ will have that same success.

For DJ, I agree it wasn't a mis-eval, I think it was all the Dr. Peppers and Bojangles Bo Boxes.

If you watch the ND overtime loss game, he truly until the last drive looked as advertised. It almost feels the heartbreaking loss at ND touched him badly.

He hasn’t recovered from the ND OT pressure. They overwhelmed him and threw him for a loop he is stuck in.

Now he has had that, I predict he is going to attack it this year and have a chip on his shoulder with renewed determinism in his heart. The coaches need to tell him to take shots and give his receivers a chance to make plays. Don’t play fearful or tentative. Backyard ball it! Let’s go!

I’ve been doing recruiting evaluations for decades and I really think Vizzina is a top recruit. We don’t know what kind of heart he has, but he has all the physical skills and then some. The boy is impressive.
