Rewatched the whole game today. Watching Vizz come in after Cade, who has had his challenges too but is playing well, it was apparent that Vizz is not a guy who can take us to the mountaintop. Even throwing screen passes he is way too slow and doesn’t have the arm strength to zip the ball out there and give his guys a chance.
He runs like an oaf. No lateral agility, not a power runner, not great top end speed.

I’m sure he’s a good kid. I hope Dabo will bring in an elite portal QB. At least for one year before Hughley gets here.

When Manning was considering Clemson, CV came at the same time and the staff was about equally high on both. Yes, we can miss and CV may not be as good as advertised, but the coaches seem to be high on him in practice. I am sure he does not have the confidence needed right now and maybe he never will have it, but he played against some tough competition in AL and I think he will come around.

Fizz has been with the program long enough to fully know his potential and ability to run this offense.
At this point he should be pushing Klubnik for the starting QB job, considering how inconsistent and overall subpar he’s been.
It’s been clear for awhile now that no one on Dabo’s staff has a clue about developing QBs.
