Vic and Grady

Sep 15, 2015, 7:02 AM

Did alright last night. Both had a couple of moments. Vic struggled against #71 and it highlighted his relative small size. Overall I was impressed by how crazy fast that game was, especially when Philly had the ball.

Grady was in the action every play I watched (relatively sporadic watching)

And Vic was just being pushed upfield. Or when he did cut back inside it was a double team. And when he would bull rush there was a back in to help.

It really surprised me they dropped a big, unatheletic de into coverage instead of Vic. Really a head scratcher.

#71 happens to be one of the best linemen in the NFL.***

That #71 is a 7 time pro bowler. Both being rookies on NFL defensive line was impressive. They held their own and put some pressure on Bradford. Got a little gassed second half. Also lets not forget Goodman, he did solid job also. With Dan Quinn leading the way he will implement a defense that will showcase each player to the best of their abilities.

For being their first games on Monday night football against one of best lines in NFL, very solid performance and proud of our Tigers!

Re: 71 was a beast

Speed is great if you can get over or around a wall. Beasley was not a factor last night. Grady did a good job and was very physical. Maxwell looked overmatched and did not pursue with any intensity. I was also impressed with the overall speed of these NFL players. Falcons were lucky to win after the missed field goal but that is part of the game.

Yeah, you tell Beasley he wasn't a factor on the pass that

was thrown for an INT. ;)

He pressured the QB and made him throw too soon.

He deflected another pass

That should have been intercepted and got 71 to jump offsides.
