Exactly, all this sky is falling BS talk, talk, talk, is nothing more than a total waste of time and breath. Anybody that doesn't think that Dabo can see and know what's going on with the inner workings of his FB TEAM, then you have to be really stupid and you should really stop listening to all these radio/TV analyst people bc they get paid to make their story to sound as bad and worse than it really is. They do the same thing when they're saying something good about a team, they just don't harp on it as long bc nobody, but the fans of the team want to hear about it. They get paid lots of $$$$ to STIR up as much S H I T in the pot as they can and making smell as bad as they can and they will stir it for as long as people enjoy hearing about how bad Clemson is stinking up every place they play at...
You can bet the farm that Dabo knows what the problems are and he knows how to fix it. Rest assured that our staff "WILL" look different next season, all the coaches that you see or read about next week, I don't think we will see or read about most of them next season. Dabo has mentioned several time in the past 2 or 3 weeks that there is problems within the staff and he is letting them know without calling names that some of them should be looking for a job elsewhere after this season. Things have gotten so bad that it can't or won't be fixed in just one season but bet the farm that it will get FIXED.
There are some of us that know for a fact that Dabo sure as H e l l won't have a problem sending family and close friends packing, they know it's all about Dabo saving his own A$$ and they understand that bc he's not going to lose his job for giving them a chance to prove themselves and he will let them go as fast as he hired them!!!

I'm always troubled by what Dabo says.
Was he just blowing smoke up everyone's ##### when he said this team had a good chance to go undefeated?
If he knows what the problem is, why wasn't it fixed before it got this bad?

Can you provide a link so I can hear or read him saying all this?
You said: “ Dabo has mentioned several time in the past 2 or 3 weeks that there is problems within the staff and he is letting them know without calling names that some of them should be looking for a job elsewhere after this season.”
Would love to read what he said.

and college football 2025 has kicked it over, scattered his rocks every-which-a-way, and stomped all over them as they bulldozed past.
He's got to decide whether to jump in the boat, or swim to shore and do something else. Dabo is a really, really smart guy, and if he wants to, he can figure it out. If he doesn't want to, that's fine too.

This quiet quitting thing he’s done is shameful.

I know Dabo is in a bad way, and its hard to watch. I love the guy, but I will pull no punches. One of Clemson's biggest issues isn't the transfer portal, or recruiting, or talent. Its the fact that they graduate these kids in 3 years. Stop pushing out the top talent to the NFL i 3 years. I was watching the game against duke and the announcers stated that there were three Deacon defensive linemen with over 40 starts each! How many does Peter Woods have? How about TJ? Clemson wastes talent by pushing kids out in three years and the recruiting hasn't been able to keep up in over 5 years. College used to take 4 years for a degree and 5 if you red shirted. Now a 5 star at Clemson red shirts his first year, and barring injury they may start 20 games? This is something that has to stop, so much experience is being pushed to the draft not only by Clemson but also the fans and their stupid draft talk.

This is a ridiculous comment. Nobody is pushing out players into the nfl. The players are leaving on their own, without any pushing from anybody. They're doing it because they can earn a ton of money in the nfl.
In fact, Clemson's actually done better than most keeping NFL talent to stay an extra year. All the defensive line prospects from the Power Rangers unit stayed in 2018 to win another championship. Travis Etienne stayed for his last year in 2020.
The reason Duke has so many players with over 40 starts is because none of them are going to the nfl, so they're staying in college for their full term of eligibility.

He's a former Clemson football player who played under Coach Swinney and works in the industry. Almost all of us on the message boards are armchair quarterbacks with little to no D1 college football playing/coaching experience who work just about in every industry but college football. Yet we give our opinions and thoughts. How do we know anything by comparison?

LOL....EMac knows more than all of us combined. Murray, from Tampa Plant/UGA, is a legitimate analyst. Dude knows FB and even though I hate hes a dawg, is quite fair and balanced. Just b/c some of you don't want to hear the truth..... CDS said/admitted LAST night the issues are with coaching and recruiting. Its been that way for a while and its more than just those two areas. Remember a few weeks ago someone said its just b/c of QB play...lulz....

Not "holes"...it's missed assignments on defense. Lack of discipline and preparation by the players. There is obvious confusion on the defensive side about assignments. It's mostly safety play, but also CBs, DEs not containing, LBs missing on receiver coverage. They are not playing together.

Its also talent. CDS even said issues are with coaching and recruiting. You got players who shouldn't be starting on the D side of the ball at a program like Clemson...
You can't offer 65-70 HS kids, not take any from portal until last year, have kids transfer, quit, retire from injury, not pan out....and expect to be competitive with your peers (uga, osu, Bama, etc..). Why would you purposely limit yourself?

We had the most returning talent of any team in the NCAAs and made the playoffs last year.
If the talent level is that bad, then why wasn't it addressed?
If the talent level is that bad, why were they saying before the season stated that the team could go undefeated?

EMac put that about as respectfully as he could, and I think it's a reasonable take at this point. But we still have people in here getting mad that he dared to suggest that our program is struggling right now, or questioning whether he knows what he's talking about as both a former player and respected media insider. Some of these people are so blindly devoted to Dabo that they can't acknowledge any criticism, and they're completely out of touch with reality. It's almost Orwellian at this point.

I hate it for Dabo.
We were becoming the dominant program in the country pre-transfer portal and NIL. Saban and Alabama were the only program that could rival us. 2 out of 3 national titles.
While at the same time, we were graduating players.
Dabo's entire philosophy was working. It seemed like we were going to stay at the top for a really long time, especially given our overwhelming talent advantage in the conference.
Then the sudden change. The steady decline. The philosophy no longer being effective. Tragic.

Agreed - I think his philosophy can still work, but the right pieces of the puzzle are not in place
If I had to guess, Dabo's belief was that the position coaches that are on staff now are guys that are a product of the philosophy and should want to carry that forward. Unfortunately, I suspect they're just not good at coaching.

I have to disagree with E Mac about the official’s call. Might be holding on Terrell but should have been holding or unsportsman like against the Duke player who purposely pushed Terrell to the ground.
