Regardless if you can see this link on Instagram or not, Van Smith is always posting negative things about Dabo and Clemson now.
This post was about Clemson losing their magic. And in the past he’s blasted Dabo for his reluctance for changing his views about the portal and all that.
I don’t see many former college players for any team put their alma mater on blast as much as Smith does.
I don’t know what the reason for the hate is, but it’s not a good look.
Anyone know what could’ve made him act this way?
I don’t see any other former Clemson players have such a problem, so why him?

This is the problem with leaving early for the draft or through the portal for NIL... it doesn't always work out. Get your degree first, and then leave (unless you're a star player).

He was a solid collegiate player but probably lacked the size or the speed to play in the NFL. In fact, A LOT of people were surprised when he left early. If I remember correctly, he signed with the Atlanta Legends of the now bankrupt Alliance of American Football, but ended-up getting cut. Now he's bitter that his career didn't play out the may he envisioned. He listened to the wrong people and that's apparently everyone's fault but his own. Several former players have called him out over some of the false statements and comments that he has made.

"All That" even in college, much less an early departure NFL talent. I remember being very surprised at that decision at the time, thinking it was a major mistake. That was proven out, but, as has been said, some people like to blame everyone but themselves for their own mistakes and shortcomings. I would just give him, and whatever he says the Ignore.

Van, it seems like you’re trying to get back at Clemson because you think you were done wrong by Clemson. I mean, if you didn’t think that then you wouldn’t put so much effort into posting so much negativity. Clemson is one place in this world where the people around you are encouraged to love others, and to support you. Why you think any coach or player had true hate for you and wanted to see you fail is beyond me.
