UVA couldn’t hit the ocean from the pier in Chapel Hill

They were abysmal at every facet of offense.

They were 39% from the field, and 45% on FTs..

But … they benefited from 7 steals and they forced 14 turnovers and avoided what should have been a blowout loss to the Tar Heels.

They were ferocious on defense!

We have been red hot shooting the ball lately and we certainly need more of that, but above all, we need to take care of the ball and make every possession count.

If we give up double-digit turnovers and suffer multiple steals tonight, it won’t matter much how many threes we hit.

After watching our effort in Raleigh, we have to believe this game is winnable. Our guys have the talent and ability and Virginia has shown some weaknesses this season.

Go Tigers! Beat the Hoos!!

I believe you e can win against VA. I also believe we have to play great defense to do it. We for sure, don't want UVA to have a breakout game on offense. I think if we play great defense, we come out in top due to our superior scoring touch

UVA will hit their shots tonight, folks. Worst beyond that we may not be able to hit shots in that arena as they will play with great emotion and likely dedicate the game to Terry Holland. Clemson MBB does not have a good record vs UVA at their place.
Our defense has to be very focused and the offense very patient. I am hoping we can spring an upset in this game.

Agree 100%

The Cavaliers should not shoot as poorly as previous game. And Clemson should not shoot as well as they did. Each team should expect to be closer to their season average. Then each defense has chance to reduce t he e other teams chances to be at that average.

Clemson should see UVAs best because the Wahoos have to right their ship a bit to look better than previous games.

The best part for Clemson is they have played so well as a team to the last two games. So hope that helps them as they will face pressure.

My 5 keys for Clemson's best chance to win
- start strong and withstand any early UVA energy/hype of first 5 minutes
- do not fall in love with the 3. Attack the rim, feed the post, kick out as needed. Shoot 3s in rthymn, not forced.
- keep Chase, PJ Hall, and Tyson out of foul trouble
- need one surprise offensive performance from a Tiger like Wiggins, Godfrey, Scheflin, etc. Somebody give 13 or more unexpected points.
- Clemson defense has to be very strong vs perimeter 3s. No wide open looks. Contest and harass.

I HOPE they don't - but I have 40 years experience with this crap.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.
