Ferrell’s always been one of the best interviews since day 1. Speaks from the heart and just seems to enjoy the moment. After a what will be a great NFL career I can see him either coming back “home” to coach or get into the broadcast biz. Whatever path he chooses Clemson Nation will be there with him. Go Tigers

I love this kid. He is a great public speaker too, really funny and heartfelt.
We have a lot of really strong leadership on this team. I can't wait for the season to start.

This interview says more about CLEMSON UNIVERSITY and the football program that Dabo has created than any "hype video" anyone could come up with. When I hear a football player talk about the University rather than just the football games it tells me that Dabo recruits Student athletes rather than just football players.
As a side note one of the best things about Dabo is that I haven't heard anyone yelling "Bring back Danny" in quite a while.

When some scoffer on ESPN.com challenged the legitimacy of our Power Rangers coming back--saying some boosters had to be paying them to pass up on 1st and 2nd round money--i answered that legitimate money is only a small part of it.
They get 1. free education and quality college degree; 2. stipend; 3. free food; 4. free nutrition and body building coaching; 5. free gym membership and instruction at a world class gym; 6. free professional training; 7. gap insurance in case injury drops their draft value; 8. one more year playing the game they love with their best friends; 9. the opportunity to enjoy the recognition they've earned at a place that everybody knows and loves them. No way someone pays them more to stay in school than they passed up.
No other position in the NFL is as physically challenging as DL. If you're not ready to excel against other professionals on every snap, at least 800 snaps per season, with only one week off, you won't start. Getting one more season of professional coaching, body building, and nutrition, when you're only 3 years out of your high school baby fat, is priceless.

The reason you haven’t heard “bring Danny back” in a while..

Is because Dabo has brought him back as much and as often as Danny wants to come back. Danny is as welcome on campus and around the program as Dabo is now and THAT is a beautiful thing. And Dabo made sure of that. Now Danny, being the class act he is, doesn’t over use the privilege... but rest assured he is back and has completed the circle. ????

When I was at the Ladies Clinic, there was a player behind

Me. Im not sure who it was because as i said he was behhind me, but i overheard his conversation with a couple of ladies. They asked him why he came back this year. His first response was i can bet better. His next response was “I love Clemson.” His final reason was that he is graduating in December. I agree that it is about the kind of young men that are recruited, and they really love Clemson.

What does that mean? Are you saying he’s being deceitful, that he has a poker face when answering the question?? If that’s your interpretation shame on you. When students leave early people jump all over them. Saying things like “he was never here for an education” Now we have a young man staying and those same knuckleheads are saying “he’s lying or he must be getting paid.” Why is it so hard to believe that a young man barely legal drinking age wants to enjoy himself and finish what he started. My hats are off to that whole line. They are an inspiration. Clemson isn’t a football factory. It’s a great university that happens to have a great football team.

That is bc there is something special in those hills, and Thomas Green Clemson knew that when he gave the land for a college to be built there to educate the young people in South Carolina!!! And now, young people are coming there from all over the world to be educate at Clemson University. I'm sure he is proud of the gift he gave for the sake of higher education!!!

Urban Meyer on his first visit to Clemson
Jul 30, 2018, 11:16 AM
|
|
While Urban Meyer was between coaching jobs he was the color commentator for one of our games. I don't remember which game but his knowledge and understanding about what was happening on the field and how he would explain it was the best I have ever heard. I understand why he is one of the best coaches in the game.
But during the game he told about how when he was coaching in Florida he asked one of his assistants why they kept losing players to Clemson. He said the assistant looked at him and asked him if he had ever been to Clemson. Urban said he hadn't and the assistant said you need to visit there once. He said now that he has seen Clemson he understood how they kept losing players to Clemson.
