Update on Clemson after the storm.

Wow, that was quite a storm last night in Clemson. My wife and I have been without power since early morning, and we went out early to get some ice and check out campus, and parts of town.

The biggest issues involve trees, and power lines being down. The ground is soaked and we still have some wind and rain, so tree issues might continue this morning. An hour or 2 ago one or two large trees fell across Old Greenville Highway in front of the President’s House, blocking that way into campus. Most key roads are open, but there are many tree issues in neighborhoods surrounding campus.

It looks like maybe 25% of town has electricity. Most businesses were still closed, but gas stations and Wallmart were open thankfully.

I sure hope the game can still happen. Major roads on campus are fine. Parking lots are soggy of course, but the wind may help them improve my tomorrow night. Stadium and field look great.
