Podcasty is 50 minutes long. Here are the pertinent points.

+Dabo is not nor ever has been a candidate.

+A deal was struck with Stoops. When word got out the twittersphere exploded. Fans were major league upset.

+Board of Regents decided that it wasn't worth the risk to bring him in with so much fan opposition. (They weren't real happy with the choice either. It wasn't so much that the fans convinced them to change their mind as it was they agreed with the fans. "Why is this guy any better than Jimbo?")

+Expect a hire to be announced today or tomorrow. The two leading names are Mike Elko and Elijah Robinson (current interim HC). Third name mentioned was Jedd Fisch (Arizona).

Other tidbits:

Lotta names have been mentioned but Ryan Day never showed any interest in job at all. Neither has Kalen Deboer (Washington, who is still in the running for the BCS).

With transfer portal opening up in a week, the guy doing the reporting - Billy Liucci, has no doubt the announcement will be tomorrow at the latest. He even says it may be as early as later this afternoon.

I would go with the interim guy they have now. Best they've played all season the last three weeks.

Disagree. They got outschemed, outcoached, and outplayed in the second half. Just like with Alabama, Tennessee, Miami, etc.
