In all the chaos, volleyball has understandably been overlooked. But they've quietly had a decent start. They're opening their season at the South Carolina Tournament: playing Campbell Friday, ETSU Saturday, and then the coots today in the finale. The Tigers won their first 2 games convincingly, getting 3-0 sweeps over both Campbell and ETSU. I know some of you might be thinking, "Well, what's so great about that?" And you have a valid point, that should definitely be inferior competition. But as those of you who have followed this team in recent years know, this Clemson volleyball group has often struggled even in games like this, needing 4 or 5 sets to get the win. Seeing the Tigers handle business in convincing fashion against smaller teams is encouraging. Either way, the real test is coming up in a few minutes, with another palmetto series point on the line. If any of you need a reprieve from football after last night and have the guts to put your heart on the line for Clemson again, here you go! In a make-or-break year for volleyball, this could be a defining game.
