Crazy on crazy, plus DJT ain't gonna be happy when dozens of Pubs finally grow a pair and vote as well to release the files when the House votes in a few days.
Now, will Johnny Thune have the stones to bring this to the Senate. If so, Murkowski, McConnell, Tillis and Collins would probably vote yes. Is JD gonna break the tie? Good luck explaining a yes vote to Trump or abstaining so the vote fails, to the American people.
Trump I'm sure at this point would veto the bill and I doubt an override would occur.
Actually 4 Pub votes would mean the bill passes. If it's 3, JD will have to make a decision to abstain or vote yes.
I think if Thune brings it to the Senate, it will pass.

Vote yes. 2/3rds majority is veto proof.
So, if you were say Lindsay Graham or Tim Scott, what would you do? Vote No and then spend every future campaign explaining why, or would you shoot your shot and a let the chips fall where they may.

To override a Trump veto, 2/3 votes in both the House and Senate is a tall task, although it shouldn't be.
The moral choice is to vote yes and expose those who have been protected, no matter who they are.
Graham is so far up Trump's ###, I doubt he would do the right thing. I could see Scott voting yes. A no vote would force some serious mental gymnastics.
The pressure on John Thune to sit on this will be tremendous. The loser in the near term while this subject is hot is likely to be Venezuela. If Trump launches a war on Venezuela he should be impeached, but this is coming most likely.
