the basketball program was put on probation because Tree Rollins and Stan Rome were given cars by a booster. Now, that's perfectly legal.
The NCAA used to be feared by the schools. Now, they're basically ignored.
College football/sports are being ruined for sure.

The NCAA continues to be a joke of an enforcement arm. If they tried to level any serious charges against a school, they would be out lawyered and murdered in the courts. With that being said, they are not the only responsible party at fault. Plenty of blame to go around.

NCAA have wipe their hands of patrolling these offenses. Its all heading toward the falls... it will all look so different in about 5 years. Kids will have their commercials played during timeout breaks and they'll be suing coaches for playing time b/c it effects and suppresses their brand.. its gonna be so infuriating and it all goes back to Gavin Newsome and the California ruling. My fear is they're also gonna run this man for President in about 3 months as well. dude is the grim reaper.

The main problem as I see it is that nationally, having these mercenaries represent your university does irreversible harm to the school's academic reputation. They are no no way at all to be considered a "student-athlete." These players from UGa/FSU are simply young, paid professional football players there for the fan's entertainment only. They have no loyalty, just like smoke in the wind, they are here today and gone tomorrow.
