Tua surgery and best interests

After reading about this young man's surgery, I can't help but wonder about the long term implications should he be rushed back into the lineup. Are his coaches jeopardizing his future for present gains? Will he play with reduced mobility -- of course -- threatening further injury. This surgery alone and any further injury will seriously impact his draft status and career. They are doing him no favors.

Yeah .... I thought the same thing. Something about it just seems wrong, although a video I watched with the doctors that will perform it made it sound like it has no long term drawbacks. For Tua's sake I hope they are right.

He’s an adult and no one can make him play, also

The coaches can’t put him in the lineup until he’s cleared by his attending physician.
