I want the Dabo back

Sep 6, 2023, 8:54 AM

From the very first press conference he did when he got the head coaching job at Clemson. Where did that Dabo go? I know the context behind the score… but to lose to Duke 28-7 is straight up unacceptable. It’s a sick joke that is our reality. I don’t expect us to go undefeated but I do expect us to perform better than a 21 point loss to Duke to start the #### season.

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.

True.

Dabo is concentrating on his legacy and doing things the Dabo way.

1. Christian valued - good
2. Giving young Clemson coaches and friends opportunities - so so
3. Not recruiting over kids - so so
4. Not at ALL using the portal/NIL like others - bad

However, he is entitled to his convictions but his services may become unusable in the coming years.

Not everyone is a Nick Saban who can sustain CFB success for decades over different eras and changes.

No, but maybe there are some things we might learn from him...

Undoubtedly. But when you encircle yourself with friends, family and "yes" men those potential learnings never even make it onto your radar screen. Instead, you're constantly reminded of your past accomplishments, how great you currently are while all of these same people in your inner circle cash fat checks.
