I post this here because 1) He's got Clemson ties and 2)Clemson opens up against UGA this year, so it is a Clemson football post.
But, as y'all can understand Nole fans have as much glee in the troubles of the gators as Clemson fans have with the troubles of the coots.
I used to think it was a pick 'em bet as to who will be fired first, Beamer or Napier. But, I think Napier is the solid favorite right now to win that bet. Things ain't going well at all for him right now.

Beamer won't be fired before the end of the season, and very unlikely he'd be fired even after the season unless they are REALLY REALLY awful.
His buyout right now is $17M and even after the season it will still be around $13M. After the Coots had to pay Muschamp $13M, writing another check that large just a few years later will be really tough to stomach, even for those idiots.

Their schedule is tough this year. 6 wins or above gets him an extension and a raise while 3 wins or below will get him fired. It really comes down to the Old Dominion, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt games. If he drops 2 of those 3 and does not pick up another, he's out regardless of buyout.

They (U of Second Choice) will struggle to win four games...

which might not get Baby Beamer fired (yet), but after only four wins, another year at home for the holidays (i.e., no bowl game), and another loss to Clemson will all put him firmly on the hot seat, meaning 2025 will be his make or break season.

They won't struggle to win 4. Their OOC schedule is 3 gimme games and us plus they still have Vandy on the schedule. They'll be underdogs in every other game on the schedule though.

He was never coming to Clemson. He didn't want to be compared to his brother. Travis was too big to compete with and anything less would have been a disappointment by the fans and himself.

Correct. He was never a possibility for Clemson. Just like the Emmitt Smith/Emory Smith tales in reverse. Emory was never going to Florida.

Bretfsu I understand your glee and would feel the same way if it was Beamer. UF fans are delusional, they should expect greatness, but it doesn't happen overnight.

It could end up a tie between Beamer and Napier.

Mike Farrell is a coot that loves to dog on Dabo. He's an insurance agent trying to be a sports writer and hates everything Clemson.
