They do wait for the regular season to be over though. I think the Florida game is a good example as to why the bowl games shouldn’t matter. Pretty much all the non-CFP games have several players sitting out.
I really don’t see Trask winning it at this point anyway, but don’t see any issue with it being a regular season award.

I can’t think of a single sport that doesn’t determine its MVP award off of the regular season. The Heisman is just like those and is a regular season award. It seems that many of you would prefer to give the Heisman to whoever wins the player of the game award in the NC game.

maybe they should be able to vote at end of regular season. The year Lamer won it, they put up video game numbers against crappy teams, then lost 3 or 4 games in November. Lots of the votes were already in, which is crazy!
