I would not waste my time reading about relegation because American college football is not The Premier League.

Personally, not a fan

If it's in the new NCAA Football game, that'd be super neat...but for real life college athletics, I'm not a fan. The transfer portal alone would make it to where the upper level would siphon all the talent making it tough for any lower level programs to actually sustain any momentum rising through the divisions.

Also, I love the fact that in CFB you can have a mid-major come out of nowhere and potentially play in a NY6 bowl or even make the playoffs.

I thought the expanded playoff was a step in the right direction because it'd start to give us unique matches yearly featuring brand names and up and comers.

Concerning conference alignment, it wasn't so bad in the beginning but now it's just getting stupid and messy because of network deals.

At this point, I'm hoping conference alignment goes into warp drive because we need to get to a point where we have the 48 (or whatever number) teams can be put into pods so things like non-revenue sports scheduling can make sense moving forward.

That said, I love the future matchups coming where you don't have to wait until an expanded playoff to arrives to see two good teams fight it out.
