Transfer portal

Dabo seriously has to reconsider his attitude towards the transfer portal. Bama, UGA, and Ohio State recruit at the highest levels. They sign better classes than we do. And they also go out and get instant impact players from the portal. The talent gap will continue to expand.

The portal has changed college football. It’s fine for Dabo to change with it.

It's easy to see why he would die on a hill with this transfer portal issue. Saban sure hasn't. And don't get me wrong, if Dabo wants to do it, he's earned it. I just don't agree but I am not any kind of football expert either.

How is it "easy to see"? The only thing I see is Dabo clinging to some outdated belief that has literally resulted in watching his team get their a55es handed to them the last 3 times they played a top 5 team. EVERY.SINGLE.ONE.WAS.A.TRANSFER.PORTAL.QB.

I just don't see how we can realistically expect to compete with the elite teams when they out recruit us and also bring in players from the portal. The talent gap is widening. The portal changed college football. Saban, Smart, Day, Riley, etc. have all recognized that.
