Top GA OL has Clemson in final five, commitment date set

Bear McWhorter of White (GA) Cass High is set to announce his commitment on February 28th, and has his final five schools listed as his preferred destinations.

Clemson, Alabama, South Carolina, Michigan, Florida round out his final schools, and only weeks remain before a top lineman comes off the board.

With his commitment being set right before the elite retreat on March 8th, it would seem that Clemson is on the outside looking in for his pledge.

I had thought we were in good shape with him. Hoping he wants to commit early to us so he can come to Retreat a committed Tiger.

Actually, I never had a good "gut feeling" about landing the Bear........I really hope I'm wrong, he would be a great fit.

I have no knowledge of where he will commit. However him committing before the Elite Retreat tells me he is going elsewhere. If I had to guess, he is going to Alabama or Michigan based on what I read of opinions on each of his top 5 schools.
