Bowden: Turnovers key to winning at Florida St.
Former Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden told TigerNet recently that turnovers played a key role in FSU's win over Clemson last season, and turnovers could once again play a key role. Also, what teams does he think could cause Clemson problems in the ACC? Full Story » |

whichever team has the most points at the end of the fourth quarter will win the game. Of course we will also hear that half the teams that play on Saturday will lose.

Did not read the post, but is anyone tied of the "Love Affair" that is so hard for tigernet to let go...... Please let it go. Let Bowden move on.. We don't need any mediocre "mojo" hanging around. coming from a former player.. #thisisdabo'steam!

While I do agree that turnovers are killers, and the 1st play turnover set the stage for what was to come. it was blocking and tackling that killed us. They blocked - we didn't, and they tackled - we didn't. I just hope we are capable of blocking and tackling them effectively and of making adjustments if something isn't working. That didn't happen at ugay, and it got ugly. It will really be UGLY in Tally with that bunch, if we aren't on our a game on the field and in the coaching box.

We need to be at our very best in blocking and tackling on Sat. night. This will take a yeoman's effort by our guys, but it is time for them to put it all together.

Prediction: Winston won't finish the season as FSU QB
Sep 15, 2014, 8:52 AM

This kid seems like he's got nine lives the way he gets into trouble and then seems to slide out of it. I think before the season is over, he will make one mistake too many either on or off the field and won't finish as QB.

After all he did own SC under his time at CU as well as FSU, and at this point a win over those two would be great.

I would take 11 win seasons while trying to figure out ways to beat FSU and SC over beating those two teams and playing in the 6-win bowl.

Comparing today's Semiholes and Coots to the teams in the CTB years are like comparing today's Alabama team to those of the Shula era.

games such as these are won and lost in the trenches. Saw this at Georgia already, and GA @ SC, And last year's CU FSU game.

I am surprised he did not state that we will need to score more points than them as well. Astounding analysis. And for those who think that he would "own" USuCK and FSU now, you are kidding ypurselves. Different teams and times

TDP gave him an extension same month Spurrier left Redskins.
Sep 15, 2014, 1:28 PM

That was after Bowden's 7-6 (4-4) season. Clemson could have hired a national championship coach like Spurrier but they extended Bowden. Then a few years later, TDP gave Bowden an extension with a $4.5M buyout a few months before firing Bowden and paying the buyout. Clemson's administration is really smart.
I remember how many pumpers argued that Tommy Bowden was the best coach Clemson could possibly have until about 10 seconds after he was fired, when Dabo suddenly became the best coach we could possibly have.
Meanwhile SCAR actually hired a proven national championship coach who took a perennially weak program and built them up into a top-tier program that has owned us for 5 years straight. Duh.

Razzmatazz, with all due respect, if you think Spurrierism is what Clemson is about, then you need to do some soul searching. Spurrier is the antithesis of what Clemson is about and I am glad for that. Mike Leach, Bobby Petrino, Joe Paterno, etc. were all "winners" on the "football" field and are not, IMHO, what Clemson is about.

That was as stupid a decision as TB ever made. I also think the Rob Spence debacle was in the running for that "honor" as well.
