But it was to one of the better ACC teams. And given that there are fewer good ACC teams around anymore, I think we will still have an opportunity to finish the season strong and make the NCAA Tournament. Just making the tournament should be considered a great season for a program like ours. Here’s to hoping we make some noise and put together another run if we can make it back this season.

Are we talking about football or basketball?
The OP wasn’t clear.

We were supposed to be one of the good teams right? So, are we back to being an under dig again already?? Sorry, but it sure feels like it.

Unfortunately, Louisville was predicted to finish 9th. I had forgotten just how bad Louisville was projected to be. I guess their new coaching staff is pretty good.

A team that won 12 games in the previous 2 years, and we were one of those.

Sounds like something fans say in Columbia. History or not, it is way past time to demand a better product on the hardwood.

Let's look at the keys to the game...the story is the same for a plethora of losses suffered over the last few years.
Other team had at least one player with a career night (despite Brad Brownell reputation for defense)? Check.
Other team shots lights out from 3 (despite Brad Brownell reputation for defense)? Check...every starter for LSV had at least one made 3.
Jacked up a bunch of airball 3s? Check.
Out-played, out-hustled, out-physicalled? Check, check, and check.
Truly stupid plays, like calling timeout we didn't have, or having 6 men on the floor? Well, not last night that I recall, so we had that going for us.

For a one-game point of reference in what the loss at Louisville did (according to TeamRankings):
Yesterday, we had a 81.3% chance to make the tournament yesterday with a most likely seeding as a 7 seed. This percentage is aggregated from a 5.5% chance of winning the ACC tournament and earning an automatic bid and a 75.8% chance of earning an at-large bid.
Today, we have a 73.8% chance to make the tournament with a most likely seeding as a 8 seed. This percentage is compiled from a 4.3% chance of earning the automatic bid by winning the ACC tournament and a 69.5% chance of earning an at-large bid.
I look forward to these percentages (hopefully) going back up.

as a power to be reckoned with entering league play. Congrats to Louisville on being that team, and I believe Clemson's players and coaches will learn from their example.

Hopefully, 12-13 wins will be enough to get Clemson into the NIT.

I think the fashion statement was more impactful than losing the game. This team will be rewarded for their interpretation of the color purple.
