departure were all false. He also said that he left knowing a TT guy was going to take the helm and that it was the "best for TT." Sleaze ball.

Explain why your players said you excused yourself from team dinner and no one knew where you went?

Tubbs was interviewed on Dan Patricks morning show a few weeks ago, and he came across as a sleazy carpetbagger. He denied that he left unannounced and that it was normal to do so at these events.

I don't ever see Dabo pulling a stunt like this on anyone, in fact he would do the opposite and spend much more time with the recruits than just about any other coach would.

The Texas Tech boards had several articles suggesting that Tubbs escaped just ahead of the axe. He had a 20-17 record there, IIRC.
