Friday night, out to Pint Station in Easley with some friends. The little fella with a guitar there played the worst versions of Tuesdays Gone and Poncho and Left I've ever heard. Imagine these song being sung with all the spice of the man on the 6 o'clock news. Headed back to friends' house and played dominoes.
Saturday, ran some errands, went to Shoeless for some beers.
Sunday, not a dadgum thing. I should have worked on my next video but instead I matched the overall lack of energy in the house.

I haven't slept with anything but drawers since I discovered electric blankets. I just warm the bed and turn the controls down to a low setting. I recommend Sunbeam.

Bough a whole filet from Ingles since they were on sale for $15.98/lb. Got 4.5 lbs of steaks and 1.5 lbs of ground filet out of a 6.6 lb hunk of meat. We had filet burgers sattidy night and filets, along with a 2021 Franscian cabernet, lass nite.
Watched some hoops, washed the car (that's why it's raining today) and some feetball.
10/10 (19/19 on the RH Tig covids scale) with deductions for chilly weather but additions for the best part of a cow.
Wood due a gin.

Friday...picked up Jersey Mike's on way home...picked up daughter from BB practice...ate at home and crashed hard. Was a very long week.
Saturday...dropped off daughter at her school in the morning for BB game at cross-town rival at 11am. Went to game and daughter's team won against rival who was previously undefeated. Daughter played pretty well...didn't score, but a lot of boards, played good defense, and got a few assists. Team and daughter were pumped. Sad there had to be so many cops at a high school basketball day (both girls teams and all 3 boys teams played back-to-back throughout the day).
Went home for some down town post-game and then took the fam incl son's GF to meet up with some other friends for dinner at Basilico in Greenville. Was purty good...will return.
Sunday...and here's the biggie...went to church with the entire family, including son, who hasn't been to church in some years and has proclaimed over the past year to now be an atheist. He went because his GF wanted to go. Hard to explain how big a deal this is without typing 4 pages of his backstory...let's just say we have been praying very hard for him for a long time and this was an answer to prayers. There were a lot of onions being cut during the service and I was holding it together by a thread. Hit messican for lunch after with family friends. Watched the football games, which were pretty entertaining. Crockpot slip-pea soup for dinner.

Fri - sang some karaoke, was ok
Sat - took little one to Lowe's grocery and got a bite, had a couple dranks, filled the growlers. Met some friends at Good Girl Brewing. Stayed up way too late with the wife watching music videos on youtube, which we tend to do.
Sun - watched Eagles crush Commanders. Took little one to bingo, which ended up getting cancelled at the last minute. Watched most of Bills/Chiefs with friends, headed home for the ending. Some Peaky Blinders (yes, I'm on the cutting edge of tv).

there's like 4 people who eat oysters
I eventually stopped getting em b/c only a few of us would eat em. No we'll just do a more planned get together where we're like, yo let's shuck some oysters, vs. me hosting a big event and buying like 4 bushels and no one eating them.
my sister came up from Savannah one year, I think for my youngest's 1 yr bday party, and brought 10# of fresh skrimps. them sombiches were gone in no time.

"I don't eat oysters" guy, about how brave the first person to ever eat an oyster was. Because really, think about it. I mean, look at an oyster, and then imagine being the first person to eat it. Can you imagine? I couldn't imagine. It's crazy to think about, right? But there was a first person somewhere.

I didn't freeze.
I sat in this recliner all weekend until I got hungry and made a batch of spaghetti. It sucked but I was hungry and got over it.
If anything turned out right it was that my days and nights are straightened out again cause I woke up this morning at 6:30 rather than, previously, going to bed at that time.
Tanks for aszkin.

Still cleaning up from Helene. This weekend it was fence repair all day Saturday and Sunday. Took down intact fence panels, pulled concrete footings out of the ground from fence posts that had been broken and/or heaved out of the ground by uprooting root balls, cleaned out fence holes, graveled, tamped, placed new posts, reattached panels and poured new concrete. Also dug out some stray roots for fun and had a bonfire with them.
Knocked off Sunday in time to shower and watch Shipley's drive for the Eagles. Then Bills lost to zebras & chiefs.
Perused lunge and discovered to my amusement that many of you have no idea what a bad movie is.
Finally settled on what we are doing for Wife-of's 50th in April (BOAISY). Brownells won. Son-of accepted job at Riverbanks zoo so has to move to cola (nelson haha .gif).
Overall meh with a huh and chance of whatev. Would do again if it was this or watch movies with the lunge.

Snow mobiled in places few get to go Saturday. Skied first time in Jackson Hole yesterday. Bluebird day sub zero temp. Insanely beautiful and very steep.
Blues are blacks. Double blues are hard blacks. Blacks are double blacks. I will not attempt any double blacks here. It met its reputation.
A couple more days here and then taking a snow cat to the middle of yellowstone for a few days.

Put new wipers on all of the cars (hotdang that ain't cheap anymore). Watched a gazillion YouTube vids while deep down the rabbit hole.

Well, mostly.
Friday, took the day off and did what I wanted. No chores, no errands, nothing productive. It was glorious. Left for lenny Boy Brewing in Charlotte for the first Xtreme World Wrestling show of the year and it was a BANGER. Maybe the best Lil Panda match we've ever seen (and he did retain his belt).
Saturday, spent most of the day burning winter yard debris and old files/receipts/paper stuff. It was the warmest I've been in a couple of months. Kept up with the latest episode of The Fighting Brownells, it had a happy ending. Made homemade pizza for supper and laid around watching things I don't even remember now on TV and crashed around 11.
Sunday, grocery run, the off to the Thirsty Beaver to see the Anders Thomsen Trio, which was a foursome because they picked up a pedal steel player for the gig. PHENOMENAL show...it always is. Anders rolled into one song after another without ever stopping, took a break after three straight hours for 20 minutes, then came back and played an hour more. It's one of the most rowdy, high-energy shows you'll ever see, the guy is undoubtedly a certified guitar badass. Go see this man if you get a chance! FYI...watched NO football on Sunday other than an occasional glance at the TV while in the Beaver.
20/19 Covids...wrestling, live music, bonfire. It was a well-rounded weekend.

Fri - Drove to UNCC to pick up daughter-of. Got home and didn't feel like doing shidd. So I didn't.
Sat - Part-time gig with a surveyor friend. Hiked around 13 acres of woods looking for property corners and actually stumbled upon a few. Nice day to be out wandering in the woods. Out of shape though. Towards the end of the day if I came up on a downed tree, I was looking for a way around it rather than stepping over it. Got in time to catch a little of Tiger BB and went out for Chinese.
Sun - Church then to the gym (inspired by the previous days event) and grocery store. Channel surfed and napped the rest of the afternoon. Whipped up some chicken stir-fry and meal prepped for the week. Watched our usual Sunday night PBS lineup (Miss Scarlett, All Creatures, Vienna Blood) and crashed.

Yo, you can't just leave us hanging like that. What did you do?
McJr and I actually walked through the woods yesterday and tried to jump a rabbit. We found two balloons instead.

LOl, found a way around of course. Besides, I was way the fock off line. My partner was yelling, "what the hell are you doing way over there?" Tryin to pace off distance through the woods. Very old school.

Friday: nothing that I remember, probably a few beverages and some TV.
Saturday: stopped by a fran's house for some pours, dude has an arsenal of bottles and very few that aren't opened, and more than happy to share'em. Got to try some stuff that's been on the list for a while. Also, the latest fad is, amongst other names, "Buff-Turkey". Seems that Wild Turkey had a still that went down in 2008/2009, and contracted some distilling out to Buffalo Trace, using BT grain and WT's yeast strain (or something like that). Some 600 or so barrels were distilled, filled, and returned to WT rickhouses to age. WT decided they didn't fit the WT profile, so they started selling these 15 year old barrels to various groups/outlets, and people are going nuts for them. Tried like 5 or 6 of those barrels, and they're pretty insanely good.
Sunday: brunch with some frans across the street, overpriced, but good.
7.2/10, had better, definitely had worse.

Daughter and I are holding out, but I feel a little drained.
Friday I installed a router table in my new tables aw and did a little work.
Saturday I got my first Etsy order. I bought some supplies and started making that. Took care of sick people.
Sunday I took care of more sick people and sold my old drill press so now I only have 1 drill press. I do have 2 table saws now though.
Today I'm working from home to "stop the spread" at work since we have our national sales meeting next week.

Went on a field trip Friday to St. Augustine with son of kms, a 4th grader. Being a boy mom sure is different than being a girl mom. We had to leave at 5:30 AM and didn't return until 9 pm. He had a good time and that's all that matters.
Saturday slept in for the first time I can remember in years. Didn't get out of bed until 11 am. It was glorious. Rest of the day was full of household chores... laundry & grocery shopping.
Sunday up early with daughter of kms for a horse show, she won 1st place in all of her classes and Grand Champ. I watch her ride and it's hard to believe that she's my kid. She works so hard, such a proud mom moment to watch her in action.
Monday is mondaying.
