To everyone who harps on conference affiliation

I am sick of hearing "SEC" this, "ACC" that, BIG10, PAC...etc. After the ACC screwed us and we defeated Maryland in 1983 to run our ACC win streak to 19, our players modified a chant in the locker room that is still applicable today: "We don't give a djamn about the whole ACC because we are Clemson U!"
This is basically how I feel about every conference, ACC and SEC in particular. F 'em all....Go Tigers!

The days of conference affiliation not mattering is long gone.
With so much tied into the TV contracts, SOS, RPI, bowl revenue its all conference based.
Rooting against your conference partners makes no sense.
When they lose it only takes money out of Clemson's pocket.
Clemson can't take pride in a Virginia championship, but rooting for them? Sure...

The difference is very simple and very real:
I hope for ALL ACC teams (except for UNC) to do well in post season and OOC because it strengthens Clemson financially and on the recruiting trail.
What we mocked from South Carolina fans was that they cheered for the SEC in lieu of any athletic success themselves. It was okay that they were the conference punching bag because the conference overall was awesome in their opinion. This is laughable.
