I have been a huge Tiger Fan for all of my 42 years that I can remember. I have many of the Danny Ford Glory Years Games on DVD. I was at most of them in person at the time.

While I think it is fair to ask about Dabo's "Quality Wins" it is also fair to acknowledge that we did not lose to any inferior teams this year.

While Danny's teams usually had a big win every year and beat some big name teams in bowl games, I also sat in the rain at Wallace Wade and watched a team that many thought would win a National Championship lose to a Duke team that had no business beating us.

I recently read the Larry Williams book about the Ford Years and was reminded how many times we slipped up against a team that should not have beaten us.

many of the previous 20 years or so. Not great, but certainly good.

I remember DF teams losing to Duke, State, Tech...

We didn't lose to any bad teams this year

we also intercepted Duke that day and fumbled it back during the same play - not once, but TWICE. Duke was compentent that year, but we botched that game. Ford had down times against SC, but they didn't last this long. And Coach Ford knew how to win bowl games. We now need to proceed to win the bowl game. That is the business at hand.
