Wish FSU was a home game this year!

Would be great to “welcome” DJU back to the Valley with a big fat L!

Also, UNC getting 3 protected rivalries?! Just more proof that the ACC solar system revolves around the Tar Hole sun. I hope we follow FSU out of this dumpster fire conference at the first possible opportunity.

Im sure Im missing something, but did Clemson only get one protected

Clemson has only 1 "protected" game. I would have liked the Clemson / NC State or the Clemson / Georgia Tech game to be protected as well.

ACC set it up this way to try to avoid the conference championship game being Clemson/FSU every year.

UNC getting UVa and Duke every year tells us something....

And what happens if FSU leaves the ACC and we stay? What is our protected game? GT? UNCheat?

When it was first announced I said they did it this way because they are expecting both FSU and Clemson to leave at the first opportunity.

New rivalry games should be CU-OSU & CU-Indiana

Who is proof reading here? Va Tech beat Tulane in their bowl game and I'm not sure about defense, but essentially returns their entire offense.

You just can't let it go can you? The headline says "as transfers dominate college football" but the article is entirely about the schedule. I just you had different English teachers than I did.

??? Seems like we just swapped ga tech for Stanford. Glad we don't get BC or Cuse this year. Kudos to dhood trying to make chicken salad...

Other than the uga game, what game is a TV National must see game of the week. Maybe FSU could possibly be a GameDay game.

Not sure I would say that we "dominated" N.C. State in any way, shape or form...

That line is a little puzzling to me...but here's my re-collection.
We came out of the "BYE" week and plainly got owned by both Miami and N.C. State on the road.
N.C. State's defense was solid all year and that day was no exception. Combine that with our offense that didn't get it done and we lost the game. Our defense did well that day for the most part (and was dealing with some secondary injuries if I recall)...but we let their one decent receiver go wild on us.
They've beaten us 2 out of last 3 years now.
Yes, we had plenty of turnovers in our losses...but we didn't dominate anyone until we actually won meaningful games in November....maybe the Syracuse game was our lone dominant performance until Notre Dame.

Your "re-collection" vs the stats...

Clemson outgained NCSU 364-202. Out-rushed them 101-64. Out-passed them 263-138. CU had 21 first downs; NCSU had 9. We were 7/18 on 3rd down; NCSU was 3/13. We ran 81 plays to their 46. We possessed the ball for 33:41. They had it 26:19. We dominated them everywhere except turnovers and the scoreboard.

Never led in the game...and eventually were down 24-7.

They scored a TD early on a 60 yard drive.
Then added a 55 yard FG drive to lead 10-0.

Then we got a TD to cut it to 10-7 by halftime on a nice 75 yard drive.
We also missed a FG that would have tied it at the end of the first half.

Then in the 3rd quarter, they got the pick six to go up 17-7.

Then they had a huge 72 yard pass play to go up 24-7.

We then had another long 75 yard drive to cut it to 24-14.

And then we got a FG to cut it to 24-17.

Nice to win the stats....but not sure we "dominated" anybody that day...especially since they led from start to finish.

Clemson gets one protected game. GT and Louisville get zero. Even SMU gets two protected games against teams they have no real history with.

I think there more to this list that was missed

That is the list they came up with for a football league featuring 17 teams. The SMU protected matchups are because that's the closest team travel-wise to the Bay Area additions in Stanford and Cal.

Hoping for 10-2 - will take 9-3 but not sure who 3rd loss would be. Play FSU in championship game, get the win (?) Probably get clocked in round 1 but maybe not. Klubnik improves, OLine improves, speed on perimeter with freshman receivers, worm turns on turnovers. Mafah has to stay healthy, carry big load. Riley gets some weapons he can work with. Defense looks solid again, hope we got a kicker.
