What a nightmare....defense was already bad. Now we are missing our best players and pretty much our entire defensive front

We can get by if Capehart is our only man out from the DT rotation. S.Green, T.Williams, and P.Page must be available at full health, though.

If P.Woods can’t play, then we’re going to be in a world of hurt (again). Our defense simply cannot hold up without our only two top quality DEs playing a bunch of snaps. Against the cream puff six that we beat after the UGA game, we could manage the DE role without Woods. Against good teams, we cannot hold up with either Parker or Woods being out.

They’re good at running the ball. Coaching staff will have to work some magic to avoid another loss

Maybe bring in Sammy Brown and jamal Anderson and play a 3 -4 scheme on defense.

I’ve wondered about a 3 - 4 as well.

TJ Parker at one end. Page and T.Williams as DT rotation. S.Green at the other DE; maybe switch up Green and Williams. That’s the 3 D-linemen.

Carter at OLB. Woodaz and S.Brown at ILB positions. Dee Crayton backing up Woodaz and Brown. J.Anderson at other OLB.

At the very least, the different DL + LB look would probably catch VA Tech off guard in the first half.

Day to day so I assume they’re done for the year. So the 4th quarter defense is now our all game defense. Great. 7-5 not the year I expected.

We can eke by if Capehart is the only one from the DT rotation that can’t play. That would hurt us a lot, but it wouldn’t completely ruin our DL.

If, on the other hand, something keeps either Woods or TJ Parker out of action against VA Tech, Pitt, or S.Carolina, then we be skrood.

How can pulling a guy down by the back of the jersey be illegal, but 2 guys cut-blocking the same guy from different angles not be? There's no way that doesn't end ugly more often than not. Need rule changes there badly. Frustrated that we've had 2 major members of our DL get injured on stuff that seems pretty dirty.

The sad part is it’s already VERY illegal. Was at the game but saw a reply with commentators on. They even pointed it out at the moment. We should’ve never gotten ourselves in the situation, but some very “questionable calls” mainly in the second quarter, especially on the 92 yd drive, helped extend a deficit we weren’t coming back from.

And I think that is pretty low down for a team’s coaches like Louisville to teach this method of blocking.

All these injuries are because of one thing Strength and Conditioning Joey Batson needs to go
