His degree is as valid as yours, if you have one. You want to blame someone, blame those that evaluated him and proclaimed him a top prospect. He obviously was not, at least not at QB. He gave it his best effort at Clemson and it was not good enough. Would you really have preferred he stay 2 more years after graduating. You'd be a distinct minority.

He played 3 years and graduated. He is a Tiger. He chose Clemson and tried and it didn't work on the field. He is always a Clemson Tiger though.

Camp arm. Someone has to throw to those off the depth chart wrs and he will be cheaper than any year 4 guy. Still, he's a good dude by all accounts and hope it works out.

Wild. I’d doubt he’d back up a USFL QB.

Happy for him, but I don’t see it sticking. Might be better to try the MLB as a pitcher. But what do I know.
Good luck DJU!

Banana ball Players make great catches cause they want to and can. Tiger receivers made great catches because he could not hit a bull in the ### with a hand full Of sand and had to. Big difference. Banana ball is fun. Dj ball is exhausting

Did it say if the Chargers signed him as a TE or punt blocker?

Should anyone be surprised? Despite his play, dude has things you can't teach like a mutant arm and size. You'd be a moron to not give him a try out to see if you can potentially work with him because he's an absolute steal if you somehow unlocked the potential there.
Of course, we saw what we saw here and elsewhere so basically it'd be like hitting the lottery if Harbaugh really solved that mental game DJU has struggled with for some time.
Wish him the best with his opportunity.

Hope it works out for DJU. He didn't work out on the field for us but was a first class team mate for all his team. Hope nothing but the best for DJ. He got his degree in three years and that is what college is supposed to be about.

Perhaps the chargers are "taking one" for the entire NFL. if they keep him on the bench, he can't do harm to anymore teams like he did in college.

It seemed most of the time like the college game moved too fast for DJ to process. If he couldn’t process the college game how can anyone think he’ll be able to handle the speed of the NFL game? Still, I hope he does well. I’ve always thought that with his cannon arm he had a better shot at baseball than football.
