What a generous gift from an outstanding man, a former player, teammate and Iptay member. This is the kind of young men that Dabo offers a scholarship. Very proud of both him and his wife. Thank you. The good news is, the Blanks family won’t be the last to give back to Clemson. Love to hear these kinds of news items about Clemson athletics.

And a fine example that you can come to Clemson and be very successful even if the NFL isn't in the cards.

Did we read a different article bc, I read what's there twice, and I haven't yet seen what his gift was, or what the amount was. So I ask, just how generous was his gift?

I think if IPTAY said he made a significant contribution that can suffice. I’m fairly certain that they wouldn’t bother to run a story for a routine donation.

Maybe it was significant to his household. Maybe it was significant to the program or the university. The fact of the matter is he reached into his pocket where many do not, and isn’t rolling in millions of NFL paychecks annually. He’s a good man, was a great player, and is a fantastic steward for our school. He deserves recognition.

I remember I was excited when he committed to come to Clemson. What a great signing he truly came to be and to give back like this is amazing. Congratulations Travis and thank you!

I thought he got drafted. Did he not play at all in the NFL?
Did he get hurt or just didn’t make it in the NFL?
Talk about a guy that would be a great recruiter and example of why Clemson is different and special!

I think he officially retired due to injuries before he would go into combine or draft. He didn't pursue football post Clemson.

When my son went to Dabo’s football camp when he was in 5th grade, Travis was a freshman. He spoke at one of the breakout sessions and did an amazing job. He’s was mature well beyond his years at the time. I’m not surprised at all he’s a success. Awesome young man!!
