it's been awhile since we've had a receiver who could really stretch the field. While DJU struggled with his accuracy, the absence of more deep attempts isn't entirely on the QB.

Can't really argue with that. Put TL on this team and we are probably ranked top 3. Until we get the QB issue resolved we won't be sniffing the playoffs. Hope Cades the guy for us this season.

Tajh Boyd and Trevor Lawrence. No way we lose to Duke of NC State last year with Trevor Lawrence still on the team.

No doubt in my mind that we're a one loss team last year with Trevor. We may have lost in a rematch for acc championship game had fsu had their qb. Otherwise we'd have made the playoffs and lost in the semi-finals.

Kind of amazing we've won as many games as we have given how important the passing game is these days.

Also, I don't find it at all surprising that we were dead last nationally in deep pass attempts last year. That's exactly how it felt watching the games. If you told me Cade was dead last in the country in average air yards per pass I would believe you. Hopefully he can push the ball down the field a bit more this year.

This appears to be a pretty fair assessment. Honestly speaking when looking at what's on the roster and what has been recruited it doesn't look like much is going to change, as far as QB play anytime soon.
