Maybe it is time we take out of his salary all the buyouts we are still paying for. He had many failed assistant cosches

When Steph Curry goes through a drought are you going to tell him that you will fine him for every miss or keep shooting? I know that Dabo overestimated the depth of some of his assistants' talents, but I'm not sure that he didn't underestimate the interest that some of the best coordinators might have. The hires of Riley and Allen show that Clemson can attract anyone in the country.

graduated the year as you.wound up living a pretty good distance away from CU.people in our area are good folks, but generally don't follow collegiate sports like those in the south.too close to pro teams no matter the sport.so there are times when people here don't quite understand why i get so excited about my school's teams.i always respond that if you went to the school, you'd know why the alums, especially, have so much loyalty to the school.simply put:it's quite unique.have convinced 2 kids(not related) from our small town to go to the place.one stayed and happily graduated, and the other got homesick and came back.no one in my immediate family ever attended, but all are HUGE fans.

Covid. More than any other school in the nation covid impacted Clemson recruiting, because a HUGE part of our recruiting is getting recruits on campus.

Even as a Clemson fan I forget this point. Our players and recruits are the best salesmen for the Clemson experience and that sales pitch is best given in person.

Covid also cut into Dabo's secret sauce - evaluating kids' intangibles beyond athleticism with in-home visits and how they mesh with staff and players when on campus. Our recruiting rankings were actually higher in '21 and '22 but we seemed to miss more on player leadership and accountability - a hallmark of our achieving more than the sum of our parts.

Our program operates in a distinctly different manner than most

which has led to sustained success. Small dip in performance the last few years from the stratosphere we were operating in 2016-2020. Still a top 5 or so winning program last five years which most programs would kill for. Happy that we have now decided to go out and hire experienced top level coaches again (like we used to leading up to our great CFP run) in the last couple of years. Amazing how that can make a difference in recruiting, player evaluation, development and overall structure of the program. Still need to improve on beating top level teams. We were 1-4 against the five best teams we played last year.

Proof is in the winning. Many see our team had 4 losses each the last two seasons against an ACC schedule and they understand that is very different from what Clemson was doing 5 or 6 years ago.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, our head coach God bless him and I don't know another coach that I would choose over Dabo in the times we live in, but, like I've said before our HC is a master at using words like a fix all, and he covers all. He can make his words sound as if every move that he's made was a planned move. A Master and a Genous with how to use words that will fit both sides of his narrative, good job in covering up your mistake hires, a h e l l of good job. Dabo says,
We just do what's best for Clemson. We always do that year in and year out...You can't have the highest graduation rate in America and be top in the country in retention in this crazy free-agent world and go sign a million portal guys...Everybody likes to make up their own stories and narratives and get clicks and all that, but in the meantime, we just keep winning.
Simply masterful Dabo, and we love you man, and you will fix what you screwed up, I'm sure of it, and most of Tiger Nation believes that you will fix what someone could have screwed up, but it was in the best interest!!!
