Syracuse has one of the best passing attacks in the country and Miamis defense has been very vulnerable. They can absolutely win a shootout with Miami. You just don’t know that because you look at the name Syracuse and assume they have no shot

We have to beat teams like SMU to prove we're worthy of being in the playoffs, I say match us up with them and let's see how it ends, if we lose, we didn't belong there to start with, but if we beat them, it shows that we did belong in the playoffs!!!

We can only hope for that to happen!!!
I think that it's laughable that they have 3 three loss SEC teams stacked right behind Clemson in the rankings, and then a 2 loss Arizona State team right behind USUC, that is all the proof needed that there is a bias for the SEC!!!

Yes but with an eye towards results for this weekend: If we win we beat a team ranked higher than any of the 3 loss SEC teams play so no chance we get passed. If we lose then likely SC jumps Bama and Ole Miss even though they lost to both. Of course the committee can bail themselves out of any argument about the 3 loss SEC teams by moving ASU ahead of them after this weekend if they win.

Thumbs up for the positivity. Also, thumbs up for us needing to be world-beaters so bring us whoever, whenever, whatever.
Beating USC is all that matters.
FWIW-I tried the 4 letter network's prediction tool against my better judgement...according to those morans we actually had us a 28% chance to make an at-large bid without playing in the ACC conference championship.
If we played, and lost, that dropped down to 2%. Take it with a grain of salt of course, but that might be one of the trigger-points for the SEC championship grumblings (i'm assuming those teams are required to host a sacred ritual gazing into the prediction tool every night by ESECPN contract).
As Goober often said "To Be the Man you got to Beat the Man", so LET'S GO TIGERS!

You are correct but if we beat the coots we will move up over the loser in the Miami/SMU game watch

I hope so but I’m not so sure. Could see the committee not penalizing a team for playing an extra game - especially if it’s close.

Yep. Certain teams in the top 10 have to lose for us to get an at large bid. Aside from Miami, Tenn (playing Vandy) is the really the only other realistic potential upset that can move us up. ND can probably drop another game and still be ahead of us since they beat Lou.

We need ND to lose they are not in a conference. If ND loses I can honestly see 3 ACC teams getting in the playoffs.

Not only that, winning dominantly would be huge for our chances as FSU last year showed they will take that into account.

Absolutely!!! I'll admit that 2 of the coots losses were against 2 pretty decent teams in Bama that was a 2 point loss, and LSU that was a 3 point loss. I don't know what happened with their Ole Miss loss, but they beat the pants off of them, kind of like our Louisville loss. IMO though, if our guys would have been ready with a better plan, I believe without doubt our team would have won that game.
I also believe without a single doubt in my mind that our Tiger FB team is hands down a much better FB team than Louisville. With absolute honesty, I believe that our loss to Louisville was 100% on the coaching staff.
The game plan along with the play calling against Louisville looked like our coaching staff as whole didn't spend near enough time watching Louisville game film bc our scheme and play calling looked like it was for a totally different team and not for the Louisville team that we played on that Saturday. Something was totally wrong about our game plan and the play calling bc nothing that was done against Louisville didn't match up against them on offense or defense.
IMO one or two thing had to have happened in that game, and it was either our staff didn't do their homework before planning for Louisville, or somebody sold out to Louisville and gave them our game plan and our signals bc nothing we done in that game was working, they had an answer for it. Somebody sold our team out, or our coaches fail to put in the necessary film study time on Louisville bc it looked like we were running into brick wall with everything our guys tried to do against them bc nothing went right for our team in that game. It really looked like our Tigers had prepared for some other team not named Louisville Cardinals bc they looked to be much better prepared for us than we did them, and that is my # 1 reason for thinking that somebody sold us out to Louisville!!!

I love my Tigers, but you folks are delusional……
I keep having flashbacks of the clip “the gamecocks are cycling on and the tigers are cycling out”. Seems to fit our situation right now.
