For reference, this particular hall of fame has only been around for about 12 years. A lot of Tiger greats to go on inductions if they’re doing one a year.

Fortunately I got to watch two in person, Jim Stuckey while I was a student, and Troy Brown as a Marshall fan. I think we all know about Jim Stuckey and Troy Brown's nfl career.
Troy Brown
One of Marshall's top WR and return specialists. His career average of 29.69 yards per return is still an ncaa record.
As a senior he was the primary k-off and punt returner, the go to WR, and the nickel back. He made an interception on his last play to secure Marshall's 1st 1AA national title.

So there I was…..getting a knee job done at the big naval hospital in Yokosuka ( Tokyo ) on Super Bowl Monday morning, 2002…. That’s when the Super Bowl happens locally when you’re on the other side of the planet. And as is customary, USO had brought some old NFLers around to meet and greet with service members.
Later in the afternoon some USO guy walks in my room and inquires if I’d like to meet an old San Francisco 49er WR who played with Montana on all those championship teams. Of course I say yes. But it isn’t Jerry Rice that strolls into my room. It’s a big dude….a guy about as big as the door frame. His name was Dwight Hicks.
….I know, I know….. I didn’t remember him either. But he’s got Super Bowl rings on just about every digital of his right hand. I asked him if he knew Dwight Clark. He beamed a bit and affirmed that he indeed knew Dwight Clark well. So I asked if he knew Big Jim Stuckey.
The smile quickly faded from his face and he snapped, “Are you one of those Clemson Tiger fans ? Stuckey never shut the he!! up about them ! ! ! “. 😡
