I will... he's undersized, needs at least a year in power hour, but eanted to play now or else...Woods moved over amd took the spot he thought he would get automatically.

Doesn't take a genius to see the take my ball and go home guy.

He knew that about waiting his time and hittingbthe weightoom for a couple of years and so did everyone else. None of that was a factor that you posted.

He’s actually not undersized. Quite the opposite. He is 6’8”. He’s too big for the position and way too thin. Plus he hasn’t played football long. He’s just not good and doesn’t want to compete

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Big is this discussion means weight not height.

When the competition ahead of you is to tough to pass, you enter the transfer portal, so it's working the way it was supposed to work for less talented players who isn't willing to work for a spot...

Fully agree with you.

Adan K. had a full spring to see that previously un-hyped DE’s (which he probably didn’t consider during his recruitment to be competing for ‘his’ PT) had emerged and were now ahead of him on the depth chart.

Let’s be honest here … many TNetter’s blasted Dabo for a wasted scholarship a couple years ago to sign yet another of the ‘family and friends’ recruits in DE Jaheim Lawson. Well well well … it looks good that Young Mr. Lawson is going to be a ‘playuh’ after all.

The incoming FR DE from Olney, MD (I forget his name) who arrives this summer has a good chance to be a major contributor right away.

Finally, look at the DL studs who have already committed to Clemson for the 2025 signing class.

Mr. Kissayi … as long as he was at Clemson, was, in effect, between an anvil and a hammer. Wasn’t going to get out of it by going up. Going out is the best call.

Wonder if it is partly due to being homesick, since he could still be a high school senior. Good luck Adam!

He needed 2-3 years of development.

He probably can go somewhere and play while he's developing and transfer to major program later on.

Woods probably not the reason why A.K. decided to hit the trail.

Woods is nearly certain to go back to DT next year. DT depth after 2025 makes it important for him to return to the interior.

A.K. had several other young DE’s on campus that are better than him; the DE commits and other highly rated DE prospects looking good for for the 2025 signing class.

Appears that he made a smart move.

Good luck to him.

Not yet, but maybe as a redshirt sophomore. I think he looked amazingly athletic in film. He looked like he needed a few years hard in the weight room.

way to go to compete physically. College tackles would push him around like a rag doll.

He was pushed down the depth chart due to Woods moving, and he wasn’t going to see the field. So yeah, he wants a better chance to play.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

When coaches move 2 DT's to DE,he was gonna RS.

When asked about the portal he said, (paraphrased) "We haven't used it because we haven't needed it. But, the time may come when we will. You go into Spring practice thinking you have your roster. But, if a guy transfers out after Spring practice in the Spring portal, the only way you can replace him is through the portal. Heck, a guy can sign in December, go through Spring practice, decide he doesn't like it and transfer out without ever suiting up for a game. That's the world we live in."

My FSU brother....2 DT's just earned DE spots...one's name is Peter Woods. It's that simple. Just read the chalk board. No need to pull up a Dabo convo.... he's not going to a portal to replace him.

I have no idea what Dabo will do.

Just pointing out that coaches are now in the position where they end Spring practice and still don't know what their roster might be. Not just Dabo, all of them.

Your position and comments are right... a scholarship spot just opened up and a development DE spot just opened up...

Odds are they are looking...

As far as what is available, there is 1 uncommitted four-star edge in the portal (Nyjalik Kelly, Miami) the rest are 3-star and below.

and is possibly homesick. Everyone including him would have known before he even signed that he wasn’t going to be playing for a while at Clemson. He was always a developmental guy. Peter Woods switching to DE would have nothing to do with it. Peter Woods will be in the NFL before this kid would be contributing in a 2 deep situation. He was only here for 3 mos so doubt it has anything to do with any depth chart etc. More likely he recognizes he just made the wrong choice on school and/or not willing to power through the homesickness which hits many students - athletes or not.

He originally committed to Minnesota. Almost seems like he wanted to get away from home. Who knows?
It's better now than later. This gives Dabo and staff a little time to come up with what's next.

... but I sure wish we weren't. Here's to praying the kid is leaving because he wanted a better opportunity to play football, and that he gets that chance.

Remember, players and coaches aren't "fans." They're assets or liabilities to an institution. Turnover is to be expected.

He flip flopped during recruitment too. In another 2 years after his 5th transfer he'll be at FSU. This whole transfer culture has been ruining the sport IMO.

They just dont want to put in the work to develope anymore... Glad we got the flaky ones out.

For all of those speculating, according to his mother, he got on Campus and having come from a larger city just wasn't feeling it culturally. Now take that as you will but I'm inclined to believe that part is true. I also think if he was a guaranteed, lock the starter that he is able to overcome that. Bottom line, no need to throw shade on the kid, as it tends to make us look bad. His mother is over on FB seeing some pretty crappy things that we as fans should not be saying about a Ayer who has done nothing wrong. So he left? Next man up, but let's act like who we are SUPPOSED to be, not residents of Columbia. Go Tigers!

Excellent point, if the young man wants to leave before
he ever saw his first game, so be it. I am happy it is
not third year, and we developed him into a real player
and he leaves us. I wish him well.
