Good looking tape!

Reminds me a bit of Gallman with his upright running style (seems tall but not sure his height) but he doesn’t like to get tackled and has elite speed in the open field. Welcome to the best years of your life, man!

Yep. Gallman wasn’t highly recruited and he was listed at 6-1 191 when he committed. Dukes is 5-10 191... he’s got the frame to really grow into a 230-235 RB. Good comparison. Can’t wait to see him smash it up the middle and move the plié.
Ealy who? Jmho.

Gallman is the first person I thought of when I watched his film. I think he is little faster and has better vision than Gallman. He has some quick feet too! I like how he makes one miss then he turns up the field.
Heard his coach interviewed yesterday and he said Dukes is just a hair under 6', measured 5'11" at start of football season. Said he is 195 and expects him to be 200-205 by time he gets to Clemson. Coach said he is unbelievably strong also and has great hands too.
I think he will be a stud before his career is over at Clemson. I talked to the Coach from Berkeley HS and he told me Dukes was one of the best backs he has seen. Felt he was better than Ellington at the same age.

Thank you Mr Dukes. Young man is sharp. I know a lot of people wanted Ealy and he could still commit but I’m much more thrilled that you sir are going to be the next great Tiger RB.
If he’d gone to a lot of camps and played at a big academy somewhere he’d been a high 4* . Has breakaway speed and knows how to shed tacklers. Coaches knew what they were doing recruiting this young man.
My prediction, young fella will bust his tail to move the depth chart and imo will be a bruiser for us.

No this guys film doesn’t look anything like a bruiser. He doesn’t crave contact even at the high school level. Some people comparing him to Gallman but he looks like Spiller the way he wants to get to the corner, gives one or two quick plants with change of direction and sets sail with that head leaning back. Can’t tell how fast he is but likely not Spiller fast. He goes north-south with a slight wiggle and will get yards in chunks.

Idk, watching his freshman and junior highlights, he ran between the hashes quite a bit. Just shed the initial hits good and then made his cuts. His farewell film was almost exclusively bouncing to the edge.
The freshman/junior highlights included several passes and it looked like he has good hands too.

Admit I only stick through the first 7 and a half minutes but I've never seen a highlight tape where every play was taken to the house!

I love the way he runs. He is a one-cut runner and runs north and south. Once he make his initial cit or juke, he is gone. He is going to be a good one.

I would think that with ETN, Feaster, Dixon and Mellusi, you will likely see Dukes play in up to four games, then red-shirt. It is hard to determine just how good he is compared to Mellusi, because Dukes played at such a lower level of competition that Mellusi. But Mellusi is good, and red-shirting Dukes gives Clemson some spacing. Heck, even Mellusi could be a candidate for a red-shirt with the three good RBs that Clemson has returning. Yet we know that Clemson likes to play about four RBs.

He mentions the possibility of walking on to the basketball team or playing intramurals (perhaps with that super-team of CU football players). Can he shoot the 3?

..it’s been the greatest thing to ever happen to me. Next to my savior Jesus Christ, and my family. Clemson has been amazing. My Father baptized me in Clemson sports as soon as I could comprehend them. He was a season ticket holder, so I got to witness a lot of history. Many different coaches. One thing has never changed! The heart of Tiger Nation! We are a passionate bunch! I now live on the East Coast of NC, but I still represent! I make it to a couple of home games a year. Death Valley gets inside you, and will be a part of you for the rest of your life! Welcome to the family! Basketball will always be there. It will be the game you play in between seasons. Every player played every sport, and probably was a stand out. Especially the skill players! You guys can get up an intramural team that will wax everyone! Hahaha!
