I don’t understand the whole, “coming out after halftime we knew we needed to step up.” Why not start the game with that mentality?

“They had a great defense”.

The same one that gave up 24 pts to Old Dominion, 30 to GT, and 17 to powerhouse Elon. They are sugar coating turds. You don’t have to say jack to the media and you don’t have to dance after that abysmal performance. He should have had practice immediately after the game in front of fans and WF.

Wakes Offense has treated their D much like ours

ODU had 14 points off a pick 6 and scoop and score. WF lost the TO battle to GT 5-1. Multiple GT scoring drives started already in FG range. Wake statistically beat both teams. I remember watching some of the Elon game but not specifics. If I recall correctly though, they built a lead and gave up some late scores. Our O should have scored more - we clearly missed opportunities and the TOs take away possessions which are already few and precious. Great Defense? Just good sportsmanship towards your opponent you respect. But they aren’t a bad defense. The better unit for WF at this point in the season.

Yeah you’re right. I was being a hard ###. They should skip practice today and have a slip and slide down the hill to celebrate a 5 pt win at home over Cake Forest.
