It was against a bad football team!

Only two possible outcomes - looking good or looking bad. I'd rather Clemson look good. You can't change who you are playing.

As much as I liked watching an easy win, what we saw was Clemson's offense performing well in the 2nd half against a gassed low-level football team that had fewer 3 stars on their starting team than we do on our 2nd string. I think the encouraging takeaway was that our defense performed as expected all day. We should reasonably expect that our D would hold Charleston to very few yards which it did. Our offense on the other hand struggled early while they were fresh and I think that is why we fell in the polls in spite of a blowout win.
It is probably just me, but if we win next week with another blowout but struggle early with miscues and poor qb decision making we might actually slip again. The pollsters I believe are looking forward to the Florida State game and evaluating us on what would have happened if we were playing a team of the caliber of FSU. In light of that the miscues and Klubnic's obvious inexperience cost us being a ranked team. Klubnic will no doubt get much better, but it is likely to be next season until he really hits his stride.

So next week needs to be a flawless game with no turnovers and nothing resembling bad decision-making (even if we win by 5 touchdowns) in order to perhaps get back into the rankings. Let's not even imagine a sloppy win or god forbid losing...yikes. Currently, I am really happy for the CSU and Florida Atlantic games because they represent time to get our house in order and perhaps get the upset win over FSU.

And how have we looked against bad teams the past couple of years?? Definitely didn’t drop 60 on them like we use to but sure let’s ignore that so we can continue crying.

Two weeks from now will tell if the Tigers are contenders or pretenders.

No doubt. We can just try to learn and enjoy as much as possible until then.

Don't forget we all should be Duke fans going forward, if we keep winning. Because that would make the SOS much better. Big IF, but if we get it together and win out, we would play them (they win out) in the ACC Championship and for sure be back in the Playoffs with a Championship.

No, we need them to lose two ACC games, maybe three otherwise a loss to FSU would essentially eliminate Clemson.

Not sure what to make of this team....I guess we'll know where we stand after the FSU game. IMO, that game will make or break the remainder of the season.

1st Quarter: F
2nd Quarter: C+
3rd Quarter: A+
4th Quarter: A

But let's get real here. Look at Miami's O Line against Texas A&M. Then look at our O Line vs. Dook/Charleston Southern. Hmmmmmm....very underwhelming so far.

Screw Calford.

I think a lot of people on the Clemson staff are fooling themselves. What I saw was an insanely uncoached team play against a football team that looked more like a team that really believed they could win even though they didn’t have a chance. Most of the Clemson players could have learned something from the Charleston Southern players. The ONLY reason we looked better in the second half was evidently obvious …we were not the better team…but much deeper. FAU has a GREAT chance of winning this Saturday if somehow or something doesn’t motivate our players. We have the talent. The players just look like they could care less whether they win or lose…regardless of what our coach says.

My grandpaw used to say, "son you got a terrible disease. You have 2 brains. One is about the size of a mustard seed, and the other one is a little bitty thing.". Mustard seeds heh

It's always reassuring to witness a team find their rhythm, especially in the second half of a game. Clemson's performance in the second half of their latest matchup is a testament to their resilience and adaptability. The players seemed to have settled into their groove, displaying commendable teamwork and strategic execution.

The encouraging signs we saw during this period are undoubtedly a cause for optimism. The players demonstrated an impressive level of determination, making crucial plays and maintaining a high level of intensity. It's clear that they're putting in the hard work and showing the potential to make waves in the upcoming games.

Credit must also be given to the coaching staff for their halftime adjustments. Whatever tweaks and strategies were implemented had a significant impact on the team's performance. This shows a keen understanding of the game and an ability to adapt to different situations.

While every game has its ups and downs, it's these moments of promise that keep fans invested and hopeful for what's to come. If Clemson can carry this momentum forward, we may be in for an exciting season. Let's continue to support our team and look forward to more standout performances! #GoClemson #TNETStrong https://www.hsfootballnews.com”>school football
